Central Indiana:  Sales Prices Up-Foreclosures Down!

This includes activity for the past 3 months in the 13 central Indiana counties serviced by MIBOR.  Data is from MIBOR's just published statistics, ending February 28, 2010.

Homes Sold in Central Indiana - over 3 month period ending February 28, 2010

Number of homes sold:  4,368 (down 2% compared to the same period in 2009)

Average Sales Price:  $137,326 (up 11% compared to same period in 2009)

Foreclosures:  Make up 13% of all homes listed (down 3% over same period in 2009) and 33% of homes sold (down 9% over same period in2009)

Johnson County: -- Encouraging News!

Number of homes sold:  341 (up 8% compared to the same period in 2009)

Average Sales Price:  $145,625 (up 8% compared to same period in 2009)

Interest Rates-

Interest rates continue to fluctuate, but remain in the 4.875% to 5.25% range for both FHA and Conventional loans with zero points.
